Visitors will at all times comply with Dutch legislation (both national and local) regarding the transport and use of weapons. In case of conflict, this legislation always takes precedence over the house rules.

Instructions: Weapon bearers must immediately comply with any request and/or instruction regarding the weapons they carry and/or use, regardless of whether they are issued by a police officer, a firefighter and/or another official or by the event's security personnel or one of the organization's staff members.

Categories: The following categories of weapons are distinguished:

STRICTLY PROHIBITED WEAPONS: Working firearms (even unloaded), activated or dismantled weapons, fire weapons, weapons intended exclusively for military use, switch blades, pinch buttons with lock, butterfly knives, throwing knives, hunting knives, alarm pistols, firearms that are indistinguishable from real weapons, sword sticks, daggers, electroshock weapons, spray cans for 'self-defense', nunchakus, throwing stars and silencers.

All working firearms, prohibited and permit-required weapons in accordance with the Dutch Weapons Act will be confiscated by the police and a report will be drawn up immediately.

Permitted weapons: Objects intended as toys for children up to 14 years old (e.g. a plastic water pistol); Objects that cannot be mistaken for a real weapon (for example a light sabre from Star Wars or “props” made of Worbla, foam, cardboard. Fantasy and Replica Swords and sabres that are not listed under “Strictly Prohibited Weapons”.

Carrying permitted weapons outdoors or in spaces is permitted during the event. On the way to and from the events, permitted weapons must be kept in a closed container at all times (for example a closed sports bag). It is also prohibited at all times to use permitted weapons in a threatening and/or otherwise dangerous manner. Abandoned, authorised weapons will be confiscated.

Re-enactment groups/entertainment/Artist have permission from the organisation to use permitted weapons (such as swords) for their demonstrations, taking into account the safety of them and the visitor(s).
